ASU is in a unique position to launch the nation’s first Utility of the Future Center. The Center operates as a hub of utility innovation and thought leadership, pooling from a variety of interdisciplinary leading edge researchers, thinkers, industry leaders, and policy experts. The Center stands at the forefront of the great energy shift, seeking to assist utilities, regulators, and consumers with the transition to a clean energy future by engaging, collaborating with, and responding to the driving forces that are transforming the nation’s utility sector.
The Center and its partners share a vision of advancing a clean energy future, higher education, and workforce development with the U.S. electric utility sector and advancing new partnerships between utility industry and the university sector to advance new utility business models, regulatory paradigms, and methods for enabling distributed generation and energy efficiency.
